Miseducated: The Decline of America's Schools

Why are schools obsessed with race and gender issues? Why are children learning revisionist history? Why are America’s schools teaching children to hate America—and each other? In Miseducated, PragerU Kids Director of Outreach, Jill Simonian, interviews experts who understand our K-12 education problem and are awakening America to the battle happening right now for the minds of our children. For more information and educational curriculum and videos go to PragerU Kids.

Critical Race Theory

We are all hearing a lot about Critical Race Theory. But what is it? You need to know about this because it is coming into schools, government, and corporate America. It is in K-12 and college curricula, especially Critical Ethnic Studies. Teachers are being trained to teach this. Learn about an alternative constructive ethnic studies curriculum that doesn’t use a Critical Theory lens under Curricular Alternatives below.

According to Chris Rufo of the Discovery Institute, “Critical race theory is becoming the operating ideology of the public education system. They are teaching children the ugly principles of racial hierarchy, collective guilt, and neo-segregation. It is an abuse of our institutions—and deeply harmful to kids.”

Curricular Alternatives

Constructive Ethnic Studies

Many districts are considering a Critical Ethnic Studies curriculum based on intersectionality and Critical Theory which divides groups into oppressors and oppressed. School districts in California must adopt a semester-long ethics studies curriculum by the 2025-2026 school year. Constructive ethnic studies focus on contributions and accomplishments while confronting racism and bigotry.

The FAIRstory Ethnic Studies Curriculum

The FAIRstory Curriculum exposes students to the histories, experiences, struggles, accomplishments, and contributions of Americans of diverse backgrounds. FAIRstory presents an honest account of the past and present, confronts racism and bigotry, and teaches students to think for themselves by engaging deeply with original sources, multiple perspectives, and opposing viewpoints on important events.
